Better than an organic garden on the White House lawn, why not have solar powered sheep to mow, and fertilize.

For even more imact, let's remove the (probably unconstitutional) restrictions on people growing their own food on their own land. And the restrictions that hamper small farmers who want to farm near populated areas - close to consumers.

*They're only tv shows, but the 'Beverly Hillbillys' were NOT farmers! Farmers are not 'HeeHaw' characters, either.

Awesome video! You truly are a leader. The content you provide, are the same great techniques that have caused me to achieve massive success, all through free marketing. Keep up the good work, and look forward to future videos...

Pollan recommends that the Obama Administration * replace 5 acres of pristine Whitehouse lawn and replace it with organic crops, providing a backdrop for all those news segments that sends a new message to Americans; * appoint someone like Alice Water, who values organic and sustainably grown food, as head chef; * additionally, appoint an organic farmer to a Whitehouse post, in order to elevate the perceived value of farming.

i would say it's to elevate the perceived value of self-reliance. it's scary to think about how much we rely on massive systems which are fragile and expensive instead of taking the time to understand how to feed ourselves.
