  • Men get weird on ships without women. Glad I missed it.

  • Back in 1971 on a aircraft carrier the shellback would

beat the living day lights out of you. not any more.

    woman are on board.

  • I was in the Navy (1965) when it took men to get through boot camp and to make through WOG day. You had to crawl on hands and knees from end of ship to other and back again. All the while getting smacked by shellbacks with sections of fire hose, sprayed with water, had to crawl through a 50 ft. canvas tube with galley garbage in it. At the end we had to kiss the belly of Neptune with crap all over it and get shocked just after kissing the belly.

  • they went all out back then , they used to beat the shit out of you. Now it is all a bunch of pussy shit. I was only 18 when i joined i'm out now and i'm only 23 . But my supervisors told me some good stories. Wog day is boring it's only like 2 hrs long and u just do a couple of exercises. Whoever doesn't want to do this isn't missing out at all. Bootcamp exercises are tougher than this. Bootcamp exercises were a piece of cake and i was skinny as shit when went into bootcamp.

  • I cant wait till I'm in the navy and cross the equator.

  • I didn't participate in my ships shellback ceremony back in 2005, now I wish I had. If I ever get the chance again, I definally will.
