Great AHL Reffing 1-1-11

Alexander Ovechkin got a 2 game suspension for a PUSH on 3/15/10...this was a crosscheck that wasn't even called. Just another example of how poorly the refs protect players from each other...and we had 2 referees on the ice tonight, for what it is worth...not much. The crap that the refs allow to happen, and then they wonder how the conduct spirals out of control...3 fights this evening! I wonder why? When it does digress to ugliness, do they corral the attackers? No, they escort away those who are not the offenders and allow the bullies to continue with the verbal assault. I am quite sure there is jawing on both sides, but let's start dealing with the instigators. There were 2 - 3rd man in situations where there was no call at all. Ridiculous.
