CHENEY: When an entire population is targeted by a terror network, nothing is more consistent with American values than to stop them. I might add that people who consistently distort the truth in this way are in no position to lecture anyone about values.

OBAMA: National security requires a delicate balance.

CHENEY: There is never a good time to compromise when the lives and safety of the American people hang in the balance.

OBAMA: I know some have argued that brutal methods, like water-boarding, were necessary to keep us safe. ... And we will give detainees greater latitude in selecting their own counsel.

CHENEY: You've heard endlessly about water-boarding. I happened to 3 terrorists. One of them was Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, the mastermind of 9-11. He said we would talk as soon as he got to New York City and saw his lawyer.

CHENEY: Over 7 years into the [war] effort, one thing we know is that the enemy has spent most of his time on the defensive. And every attempt to strike inside the United States has failed.

OBAMA: The policies that I propose represent a new direction from the last 8 years.

Respond to this video...The United States Constitution mandates that a census conducted every 10 years. Congress mandated in 1902 that the U.S. Census Bureau be placed under the supervision of the Department of Commerce, not the White House.

By merely issuing an order to place the U.S. Census under the control of the White House, he broke a law established by Congress itself to place the Census under the Department of Commerce.

I guess you don't have a problem with that.

@drfoxcourt I accept your apology and admission that you are full of shit. You can't convict someone on what you 'think" they "might" do, ever heard of innocent until proven guilty? Forcing people to purchase a product is clearly unconstitutional and will be born out in the court challenges.

You should check out Obama firing Gerald Walpin, or Michelle campaigning in a polling place, if you think Obama puts the law above his own desires.

@bluegsp What part of the health care bill is above the law? There are constitutional challenges, but that doesn't mean it necessarily violates the law.

Re: Cheney, I didn't say he did suspend the C, I said he would (were it not for others stopping him). Evidence: He believes waterboarding isn't torture. He believed signing statements nullify laws enacted by congress.
