Roy was a great artist and a wonderful performer/person. I've known many of his friends. I actually could get pretty close to him when I sang crying (when I was younger), in the same key...and yes, I hit all the notes...lol. But there will NEVER EVER EVER be another "Big O"! RIP Roy

Pra quem não sabe, Roy Orbison, Junto com June Carter foram os "Anjos da Guarda" de Johnny Cash, livrando-o das encrencas em que Johnny se metia, pagando fianças, escondendo-o estratégicamente das lentes dos fotógrafos nos piores momentos (embora nem sempre conseguissem). No filme "Jonny& June, ele não quis aparecer. Ficou lá, bem no fundo, apenas um rapaz de óculos grossos. Humildade é humildade, né? Graaaaande Orbison!

@darkskyatnight Could not have said it better!!!! Yes he never lost it, as some do. As for Ms. Lauper....well, listen to her AT LAST Cd or watch the Video...and neither has she! Sometimes I wonder, if it's just my age, or was I just blessed to be born during a period of time, that took music from the 60's to the 70's and off course will never forget the 80's!!!!! Boy, that really dates me...lol Great post!!~
