  • ERG. : (

Parts 2 and 3 were a lot harder to relate to. I'll have to watch again tomorrow or during the week. If I'm still lost, you'll have to explain.

  • already planning on it!

    ;D

  • Yes, RA, thanks for putting this out here. Goes nicely with me reading Hawkings right now!

  • "HAWKING"!

    ;D

  • I'm in ur university, lecturing ur students.

  • So yes the universe is like a balloon and on the skin are the matrix points wich define what inside the balloon happens.

  • It is a bit funny "event horizon" etc, people including Hawking, talking things which no one knows for sure.

  • if i said you had a beautiful theory, would you hold it against me?

  • Prof. Bousso says that as the room, now inside the black hole, is crushed to nil - zero - size, then he is unable to write anything on the walls which would mean that the entropy also is nil - zero.

That makes sense to me. There is perfect order in a black hole AS SEEN FROM THE INSIDE of the black hole.

But he rejected that obvious conclusion and instead invoked something mystical and inexplicable.

Why did prof. Boussou recject the notion that inside a black hole perfect order exists?

  • how can something that contains volume only have and area surface ? or could it be only concious thought that defines reality .........sorry about spelling dyslexic :)

  • I watched all 3 clips of the lecture, and I understood most of not all of it.

But I stil don't get what it means by "the world is a hologram"

Does that mean that the universe is only spread out on a two dimentional plane and not a sphere? In other words, does the universe only have a surface area and not a volume?

  • nice vid, i was browsing through uctv lectures / talks and found one that i thought would be interesting : "Abiogenesis the faith and the facts" so i sat down with a load of dip&chips to watch it and... oh my, it turned out to be Edward Peltzer, one of the signers of DI's "A Scientific Dissent from Darwinism", puke!

  • A Brief History of Time ... Stephen Hawking, baby.

  • Guess I need to read the cover too, huh? I think it's called "A History of Briefs in Time" or something like that.
