Aretha, Whitney. Whitney, Aretha. They're both amazing.

@DanKanzas Whitney lost her voice to crack, She will never or even come close to being a legend like Aretha. Its a little too late for Whitney, her music style is not accepted by the people today. Thats why Maria Carey is trying to transition to acting, cause she knows music is a little too simple now... Goodbye old skool, Hello Gaga and Minaj...Smh

@MrBus1ness Doesn't help the fact that Aretha didn't lose her voice as early as Whitney. Aretha was STILL pulling tricks in her 50s and look at the state of Whitney now and she has yet to even reach the big 50.

sorrry but whitney's version is a lot better.

This song may have been very famous in other more recent versions, but for me it was immortalized in the voice of Aretha Franklin! She sings with her soul! It touch us very deeply!

Ahh... That title is really not that known like the Queen of Soul...You can not compare a legend to someone who career ended so early... Thats like comparing MJ to Chris Brown... IMPOSSIBLE...
-
@chasethedragon Yea, you're right....that other one is simply known as The Voice.....
-
Personal taste is one thing, but Whitney has a better voice than Aretha? One of them is called the Queen of Soul and the other isn't.

Whitney's version is alot better.
Whtiney actually sings on key, and she has a better, more dynamic voice than Aretha Franklin.

Someone could always improve on a song after it has been done.
Aretha's delivery is really good and it stands in it's own right.
She was a singer's singer and no one can ever take her place.
