@1hedgeful Thank you. I'm a guy and she was a woman. It was a profound, scary profound friendship, no romance or sex involved, just an incredible depth. The only thing keeping me floating is the fact that we'd gotten to the point where a hello could be a goodbye or vice versa. Life is a flow, and Bob certainly knows that and the terrible doubt in the low we can experience in absence, and the fact that we have to carry on anyway. "I had so much left to do / I had so little time to fail."

@1hedgeful My oldest and best friend -- we knew each other 45 years, since we were 10) died this morning. I'm very grateful for this song and for helping me hope for my friend's passage to whatever is there beyond. I love you, Laurie, and I'll remember you.
