Yeah and our currency is worth more than theirs, and also they live in shacks. Don't EVER compare U.S pay to other Communist , shit hole countries.
Spoiled? LMFAO! Coming from some one that would never work an honest day in their life. Go on ass fuck, continue suckling of you dads prick for money.
@grendel1013 Next time I'm in McDonald's Hahahahahahahaha! LOL! I don't eat that processed shite. Really though. I'm amazed that Americans complain about making $3 an hour or $10 an hour when people in China, India, Combodia have to work a f**king day to make that and people here on VISAs f**king marry people just for permission to live here and work here. OMG. You spoiled goddamn brats.
Productivity is based on pay. Money talks and bull shit walks. If I got paid $3.00 an hour, you bet your ass I would sit around and do nothing.People in the retail sector work their asses off, and have to deal with shit from people every day. No paid sick time, no over time. Employees must work even if they are sick, remember that next time you are at McDonalds. Yes there are some lazy people, but there are lazy people in suits too. Seriously, Actors get paid millions? wtf.
Plus, if more people get paid less than what they currently are, taxes go up. More people depending on State aid. I live in Connecticut, in order to live here comfortably you have to make at least $17.00 an hour, 40hrs a week. Most no skilled workers make a 3rd of that now. Increasing poverty to benefit the well-to-do will only hurt the economy. Fact, if places like Wal-mart paid every employee $15.00 an hr 40hrs a week, it would only raise the prices of certain items by a $1.00.
Would you work for $3.00 an hour? Your logic is incorrect, already employers don't pay according to job performance and or experience. When I worked for Wal-mart, I had over 6 years of management experience, a degree, and over 15 years of retail experience. When I left, I left at $10.40 an hour. I was not getting paid what I am worth. Getting paid for what you are worth is one of the basic fundamentals of Communism.( Read the Communist Manifesto)
@grendel1013 Under normal conditions, the wealthy put their money in a bank and the bank lends the money out to people who do spend it. True, we are living in unusual times where banks are afraid to lend. But, in this case, wouldn't the banks be the ones "guilty" of hoarding?
His amendment is horribly misguided. If a worker's productivity is less than the minimum wage, a minimum wage law will leave him unemployed. "Raising the minimum wage" doesn't give anybody a new right. It negates his rights. Before the law, he could sell his labor for under a specific amount. After, the law he is forbidden to do that. If a store wants to sell its goods, it can drop the price until people buy them. If a worker wants to sell his labor, he is out of luck. He can't "drop the price".
How do you figure? A multi- billion dollar company such as Wal-mart could afford to pay their employees $15.00 an hour full time, and it would only raise the price of certain products by $1.00 without having to fire people. People make more, they spend more, they spend more, companies make more. It's called the trickle up effect. The trickle down effect does not work, it's a fact, the filthy rich horde their wealth and don't pass it down.
I pointed out that Congress consider the current minimum wage acceptable if they were forced to live on it. Anything less is slavery by the owners of business. I advocate a minimum of wages that make life survivable at a a level that those who are passing laws could prove that they could survive on. Every human being is entitled to a minimim amount of food, clothing, shelter. and medical care. To do less is to say that some people are expendable.
