look is better than ever but the price im paying the handling isnt that crisp as the old z4 coupe

@xsaradriver1 i love Porsche, loved it before BMW. Porsche is refined, perfected, this is better looking, sexy, strong, it's a man's car. This car is just for Rockstars, screams I AM SUCH FUN.

i bet the blonde forgot where she was while covered with that cloth

I'm selling my M3 for this!!!

soft top= better engineering for sports cars. hard top= better design for luxury comfort wagons and gt cars. end of story. the new z4 is not a sports car. watch the fifth gear comparison of the z4 35 with the boxster s, you'll understand what i'm saying.

if you prefer a bmw over a porsche, it's simple, you're simply not devoted enough to the motorsport way of life and you need your comfort, space, luxury and all-round usability.

oh by the way, remember this car is a bmw, it is a premimum product that isnt silly money, the base model starts at less than £30,000, a porsche 911 is far more expensive along with slr's and ferarri. you cannot compare the two. ps ive driven this car, mine is delivered in december. i have driven a porsche aswell, bema any day of the week!

go away and dont leave a rediculous comment such as that. A hard top convertible gives you the best of both worlds, the security and feel of a hard top with the exposure and freedom of a soft top. Oh and porsche are not serious, they are lazy designers and put the engine in the wronf place. think how good a porsche is, then think how good it could have been if they had put the engine in the right place.

Well, my SLK230 has been doing the hardtop boogie since 1998...but I won't lie, I'd sell it, my sister, and possibly YOUR sister to own a Z4.

See you're not wrong, at all. I accept your criticism BUT. Where Porsche is right and others are wrong is that it offers an option. If you want something more hardtop-ish, you can get a Targa. But they still offer the optional softtop fully converitble for the best possible convirtible performance and thus also driving feel.
Another example of a company that got it right: Mazda, since it offers both retractable hardtop or softop for the mx-5.
PS: SLR cabrio is not hardtop, get ur facts str8
I really hate those pointless performances during the unveiling.
