Dekcell 12-cell Extended Life Battery for the Acer Aspire One

This is a Dekcell extended life 12-cell battery I bought from BrilliantStore.com

I get about 7.5 hours with one overnight charge. I was afraid to purchase this because it's not an Acer battery but to my amazement, it works like a charm! The only down side to this (well, I guess it depends on who's using it) is that since it is a bigger battery, it actually props the laptop at an angle. But it is actually good for the laptop because it keeps it cool due to the airflow. Overall, it's a really great product and you definitely can't beat the price!!

yea! that's where I ordered the battery from and they are definitely well versed on their products. this 12 cell is really good - i've had it for over a week now and it runs for 7 hrs straight!!

I just bought a 12-cell battery and at 25% of remaining power, the battery is not working anymore :(

The woman in the video said 9 cell battery 7200mAh. So it isn't 12-cell.

@ellanes806 Actually the reason I think mine lasts longer is because Windows 7 consumes less power. You should upgrade. I have both XP and 7 installed and Win7 runs faster as well.

@ellanes806 My battery lasts for 9 hours straight with wifi. If I close the lid I get 12 hours (but who would do that?)

@sonnavabich Of course they would say that - it is scare mongering. I have had a 12 cell battery for almost a year and no problems.

if you read what it says on the battery tat came with the acer aspire one it says that other batteries apart from UM08A51 may cause fire or explosion.
