He's not American. He's British. And how are you going to criticize someone for having an accent? EVERYONE does.

i think that having a pen pal would be cool. so any takers. you gotta speak spanish tho :p
-
Holmouth, you can say it. For example, if you want to buy me a car, you can say "*te* quiero comprar el coche" or "quiero comprar*te* el coche", the only difference beetween these 2 answers is where you put "te" (you). In this case, obviously "te quiero" does not mean "I love you/I want you", because later you say that what you want from me is not marrying me, is buy me a car ;)
"te quiero" ("I want you") mean I love you, that is true.
Trust me: I'm spanish native speaker :P

@aibaye I thought that in Spanish you can't say "Te quiero" (I want you/I love you) unless you want to tell someone that you love them. Also in Spanish they don't make a distinction between I want you & I love you. By the way this is coming from a world renowned & reputable Spanish course teacher Michel Thomas.

@supernaturalist7 It is not correct, "te quiero comprar un coche" is " I want to buy you a car". "I want you to buy a car" is "Quiero que compres un coche". I'm spanish native speaker.
-
@supernaturalist7 That's not a want/subjunctive, that's saying "i want/love you" and sticking "to buy a car" on the end

this helped so much! my teacher can't communicate half as well as you can. Thanks!

You have excellent pronunciation of Spanish. Love the British accent as well!

Thank you for your kind comments. I'm British, so naturally have an accent, but my Spanish friends tell me I pronounce words very well. It can be an advantage to be an English speaker teaching Spanish as I can explain grammar terms in a way that English speakers would find easier to understand.
