A long forgotten cartoon if ever there was one. In the Boston area they always showed this along with Felix the Cat, Popeye and Hercules on "Boomtown" (WBZ-TV Channel 4).

Actually, this was produced in 1965 (I know this because this was seen locally during "THE CHUCK McCANN SHOW", on New York's WNEW-TV, every afternoon at 4 in 1965-'66). TWO animation studios "split" the production schedule: Sam Singer produced about half of them, and Hanna-Barbera [slicker animation and music score, with different voices- Tim Matheson {"Sinbad Jr."} and Mel Blanc {"Salty"}] the other half...

actually you're wrong...the sam singer version was produced in 1961 and was slated to be released by his company trans artists but the character was owned by american international outright. a deal was struck and american international released the cartoons along with new cartoons produced by hanna-barbera. the h-b version went through their machine and came out looking as slick as everything else the were producing in 1965.
