Welcome back to Tri-Valley, California's Chef's Corner! This month we visited Pans on Fire in Pleasanton, CA. Pans on Fire is a gourmet cookware retail store offering recreational cooking classes at 310-B Main Street. Owner and Cooking Class Instructor, Linda Wyner shows us a how to make a fantastic and easy appetizer, Smoked Salmon with white chocolate cream cheese and red onion marmalade. Then, she made a pan seared Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin served with a balsamic reduction. Along the way we learned some great tricks from one of Pleasanton's premier cooking instructors.
Sounds good but too complicated.
Why not curl the salmon on top, and use a thinner slice of toasted Rye with seeds?
White Chocolate sounds like too much trouble, why not spread Mayo on the bread, and mix one tablespoon of Lime Marmelade into the Onion Marmelade, and put one pinch of nutmeg in, before smearing it onto the toast?
Have you thought of one or two thin slices of Greek olives on top?
It is still hard to beat Lox and bagels.
