Militias have been deployed in villages and towns throughout Uganda ahead of the February 18 elections. This video captures a squad marching through Koboko town in Northwestern Uganda.

  • Partial translation: In the chorus the men are saying "Pakalast" which means "Without End," in support of the ruling National Resistance Movement party.

  • We donnot have militias in Uganda. What we do have, is the UPDF, which is a national army.

  • useless. get a life.. what do you benefit from spreading false information.. we Ugandans are not stupid.. who told you that we scared to go out and vote coz of soldiers?? we actually re assured of our safety. and you have the balls to call the national army millitia?? get a life!!
