@mpw60004 watched the vid.. did not explain anyting about any production EVOII. let alone it being production LHD build.
-
I had my car converted to left hand drive so it was easy for me to shift fast (this car was originally built to drag race).
-
@Sj1bby -- Look up the video titled "WRC History 1993 - 1996 Mitsubishi lancer Evolution".. That should be more than enough proof that there were more than one LHD Evos made before the VI's..
-
If this is a production EVO II, i see it`s full glass & metal (stock alu hood?) how come it is LHD, cause as far as I know until the VI the evo's were all rhd.

Awesome video, thanks for posting. I didn't know there were issues concerning the record; maybe just haters talking trash.
The weight argument makes a lot of sense though, as long as the question was aimed at the model-year difference, not at CF panels.
-I would guess, anyone w/ a little Evo-knowledge would have stated that this car does weigh less than other standing mile Evos; Simply because evo1-3 is lighter from the factory than evo4-6, and much lighter than the evo7-9. Simple as that.
-
Why does it go so fast? 4G63. Best engine ever!
If you have knowledge of how light you can get EVO 7-9's you would understand that this car is actually heavy vs. full out EVO race cars of any generation (1 thru 10).
