Clutch slippage after the turbo swap in 4th gear giving it some fuel. :( I think it's just the stock clutch in there.

  • How many miles are you up to now? What year model is your TDI? Mine is a 1997 Jetta TDI, with only 103,000 miles. Everything is working but the ignition switch which has difficulty working in warmer weather, and rear axle bearings replaced in February 2004.

  • @amiausUSA I have about 165k miles on the 1998 engine but I rebuilt it while I was fabricating the whole turbo setup. Rebuilding it was pretty easy and straight forwards. Actually didn't take to long at all.

  • Dude ;-) Did you have the chance to get the clutch replaced already? If so, upload a new video whereas this setup should go off like a rocket!!

  • @Anacinc No clutch replacement yet. It's actually holding except for when it goes into the 40's at night. In Florida that's no to much of a problem. I still have a lot of kinks to work out to get more power but it's been running problem free for quiet some time now.

  • Best car ever made ;)

  • when the rps do that is it the clutch ??? i wanna know mine dos that in 4th ?

  • @P422 Depending on what turbo you go with you can get away with little. Some turbos for upgrading you can just bolt in and everything else bolts up but you won't be able to get to big of a turbo going that way. if you want a bigger turbo you will need to fab up an adapter pipe or build/buy a new manifold then get all the adapters for the oil lines, fab up a downpipe, charge pipe, and intake. It really depends on what you are going for power wise. I'm near 150-170 whp right now.

  • @Fohaley nice!!!

would it be possible if you can give me a guide on what needs changing and a rough guide on how to change / fabricate??

    what bhp you getting??

  • @P422 This all cost me around 1500 dollars to do but that's because I'm able to fabricate and got some decent deals. I am actually thinking of redoing the turbo setup as soon as I get another car able to be driven so that I can clean it up and make it more of a daily driver and spool earlier.

  • how much did all this cost you to do?

i wanted to do this with the same turbo and injectors...but i didnt have a clue what i needed or how much it would cost mee
