91 st Falkland Stampede May 2009

Running for three days each May long weekend, the Falkland Stampede is highly recommended. There are bigger rodeos, but for a true taste of the 'West' and seeing rodeo action up close - Falkland is hard to beat. You can mingle with the cowboys. get close to the live stock for a closer look, the smell of BBQ makes you hunger for a cheese burger or buffalo burger. Plenty of camping is just across the highway and lots of on-site parking. We enjoy this Stampede each year, it just keeps getting better.

Spurs are not cruel if you use them the right way. And the bulls love what they do. The horses are absolutely beautiful.
