@m88123ify search for a diagram of a turbofan engine, that should explain and answer ur question if my explanation doesn't. the "fan behind the main fan" is actually the passage to the bypass duct, which runs past the main engine and compressors. air that passes through the outer ring of the "second" fan go to the bypass, while the air passing through the inner ring goes through the compressors and is ignited with fuel to power the engine and the aircraft.
