What you tell me is something that I have heard over and over. Lots of people know stories just like the one that you recount here. I started to tell a friend about a couple whom I had met in the anti-gay movement, and she stopped me. She inquired, "Let me guess. He is a prissy, effiminate, repressed homosexual, and she is bossy, overbearing and demanding." When I wondered how she had known that, she told me that they were all like that. She had met those types before.

Agreed. A homophibic priest from my hometown was eventually caught in a car with male prostitutes. He then came out. It's a shame that people are so arrogant that they try to hide themselves by being bigoted

I don't know if Ricky Perry is gay or not. There certainly do seem to be a lot of homophobes in the anti-gay movement who come across as being gay. Tony Perkins, Ralph Reed, Marcus Bachmann and Brian Brown all spring to mind. Perhaps, either their secretly being gay or having been labeled as being gay all their lives has been the root source of their homophobia. Whatever the cause is, it is still a bigotry that is morally wrong.
