There is only three words i can use to bestride this game Generic,boring,half-assed.

I swear you would think that capcom would actually give the development team a decent budget and a hire a people that actually knows what they are doing to make the sequel to the legendary devil may cry right. Of course not capcom saw dollar signs on the first game and wanted to cash in on it. But at-least they pulled their heads out of their asses and put time and effort into making dmc3 awesome.

I recently got the DMC HD collection as a gift and decided to sit down and play and finish Dante's campaign in one sitting. I was bored right from the start: no challenge, cool animations but dull combat, Dante barely says a word, boring OST, the more open environments are nice but completely lackluster, I could go on for a while. I finished Lucia's campaign as well and it was even worse in every way. It's very apparent that Capcom just didn't care about this game right from the start.

After playing Devil May Cry in order (3,1,4) I decided to play 2 but man...the game just sucks...I mean come on an infested chopper as a boss? The gameplay is really bad, the plot is bad, characters are dull, OST is boring, the atmosphere sucks, dante hardly spoke and the list goes on...

i admit i liked the demo i was able to get passed the new look. then the story line. just the story was dis interesting and spitting on the original series. if you've ever play dmc3 you'd remember those fast monkey like guys, capcom got lazy and just used one big one as a boss. the whole corporation big evil demon guys seemed lazy when compared to the others. it brought new easier gameplay that was fun, but it didnt do the series justice. im stuck if dmc2 is better than DMC

I fucking hate this game. DMC 1 through 3 could have been the greatest video game trilogy of all time but this game had to come between 1 and 3.

I like the second game for what it did and atleast it introduced mechanics used in 3 and 4 and had kick ass music
