My favorite traditional vertical shmup of all time. One of the best soundtracks and balanced gameplay of any game. Star Soldier Vanishing Earth on N64 was a decent game but such a dissapointing follow up. The demise of Hudson sucked so bad, because I personally do not trust Konami to ressurect the Star Soldier franchise or Bonk, Adventure Island, Bomberman, Nectaris and Dungeon Explorer for that matter. . .

I downloaded this game from the Virtual Console. Soldier Blade is one fine ass ship shooter, definitely worth the 600 points!

Stage 1 music is really cool in this game, but my favorite track is Stage 4. One of my favorites in the series, this is one of them that I can't wait to play on Virtual Console. It's got mind-blowing boxart, and Digimon really made a good video out of this game.
