I'm sure Kelly herself imitated Brenda's style as closely as possible.
Kelly is pretty good at doing that.
When she did the 40's song on AI she had that down very well too.

I worked on the show.This is Kelly's voice.And she was amazing.She sang the voice track in two takes for this song.

@KellyFan4Lyfe08 No problem. I'm a huge Kelly fan too. I wanted her to win American Idol very early on in the original season. She not only has a great voice, but is extremely expressive whenever she sings any song and fully commits herself to it.
