(SORRY: I TALK ABOUT SPLITTING OLD CEDAR ARROW BUT OFCOURSE I MENT CARBON!)
People have asked me to do this "Robin Hood-shot".
I haven done it before, because i have many times accidently hit on other arrows, and it seems that arrows wont split as in movies. That's because i have field points, plastic nocks, soft target, differend size arrows...and so on.
So now i did the shot for you and i tried to demonstrate what i mean.
Sorry about my bad english.

  • why are you wrecking your nice wooden arrows?

  • @jodyderuiter I wasn´t happy with these ones. They were not so straight as i hoped.

  • oh man, poor arrow... you could repair it with some epoxy and put a new nock on couldn't you?!?

  • @masterkiter89 ;) No, i wouldn´t dare to do that! First of all, it wouldnt last long and it would become dangerous. Second thing is that the arrow balance would change. But dont you worry, this arrow as aldeady damaged. (hit to the rock).

  • i've practiced archery in the past, and i saw how the guy who teached me (i dont know if the word "master" is right here) in a competition, put an arrow inside of other arrow (carbon arrows, knot included)

  • Great

  • ...and thank you !!

  • @96darkblade Hello. Never had any teacher. I just try to practise and practise and check others / experienced archers. Byron Ferguson was my inspiration for starting archery with longbow / instinctive shooting.

  • @24viger24 Oh yes it is possible. It happends time to time to me and to every archer by accidently and some can do it on purpose. It is allways a tough shot so congrats for that. My thoughts in this video was to split the arrow as in movies. And i wasnt so experienced at the moment i filmed this. Since then i have "hooded" many arrows with nock on and i see it is very possible to shoot other arrow inside the other. With the nock on it is just harder. Thanks for comment and keep up the good work

  • Hey just so you know it is possible to stick an arrow into another with carbon arrows and with the nock in. I did it and i just pushed the nock forward right in front of the field point. I was using a compound bow but its still a tough shot. Never heard of anyone i know ever doing it, but im only 14.

    Nice video
