William Lake Interview about his Child's Kidnapping to Japan

William Lake, a member of www.BAChome.org, had his daughter abducted by his American/Russian ex-wife to Japan. She is living under the protection of Japan's government, not as a Japanese citizen but because she can teach both English and Russian. Japan has refused to return a single child in fifty-eight years (58). Japan is not a signer of the International Hague Treaty on International Child Abduction, yet demands other nation states to return children under the Hague. BAChome spent April 9th through April 11th, 2010, protesting Japan over its human rights violations concerning parental child abduction. Most recent, eight (G8) nations condemned Japan over its treatment of abducted children and the left-behind parents who are ignored over their concerns and plight for the return of their children. Japan is the ONLY western nation to not sign the Hague or maintain an up to date system of law that protects the Parent-Child-Parent bond. In attendance at the protest was volunteers from bringseanhome org. Sean Goldman was kidnapped to Brazil by his mother. Chris Savoie was arrested while trying to recover his stolen children in Japan.

But a question may i ask, as i am british i only hear of this now!! Why has it not been a bigger issue or has england not been informed of it? Because it only seems in the USA. Btw im not going to hate the japanese for it, but my opnion of their countrys laws are now quite terrible. I hope this man can be reunitied with his daughter and all other famalies that have been affected thanks.

I understand his dilemma, but I worry that the information he is giving could lead more parents to choose this route to abduct their children!!
