The American Fork High School Marching Band performs their show "The greatest Generation" only Three days after the tragic bus accident killing their incredible woodwind director, Heather Christensen. The Greatest Generation is a WWII based show. The students dedicated their show to heroes that gave their lives to save others. Now the band dedicates their show to another hero. Heather saved many lives that night, and for that, they are eternally great full. The band received a standing ovation when they came on and off the field. Every band that performed had a red ribbon pinned to their uniform to show support for American Fork. The band won the outstanding visual, music, color guard, and percussion awards and won first place over all. But most of all, they know that Heather was watching, telling them that was indeed a "Dr. Pepper performance".

  • Very very great performance! I know its hard since the accident, but stay strong and remember she will always be with y'all! Good luck on any performance that comes ahead!

    Sincerely, Littlefield Wildcat Band

  • @meowgir47 I was in this pit. We were not mic'd for every show until nationals. When we mic'd we only mic'd the three marimbas

  • @psusnare There are no pieces from COD, but from MOH there is "Operation Market Garden", "Escaping Gotha", "Operation Husky", and "Dear Dad." The ballad in the second movement is the Band of Brothers theme.

  • Great show! What pieces are you using from MOH and COD?
