Hawaii All State Marching Band - Macy's Day Parade

first: TV broadcast per NBC including anchors Katie & Matt Lauer
second: sky view

representing 40+ schools from each of the major Hawaiian islands, the students collaborated to form an All-State band. Trip included stops in Pennsylvania, New York, Washington DC...etc.

what an honor it was being able to serve as one of two drum majors. for the many students that had this once in a lifetime experience -- thanks for making it easy. you're all too good for any real problems to appear. IMUA.

When I first saw this band, I about died. 2002, Band Fest for the Rose Parade. Your 1st appearance, as was that of my island; Puerto Rico. I flipped out over HASMB! 400 strong!So impressive. So talented. So great. Congrats to all of you, past and present. And future. YOU ARE ALL INCREDIBLE! Thank you for sharing with us, your incredible talent. And how ironic, my next door neighbors are from Hawaii! And she and her daughter both were Tahitian dancers. Love it. Just love it! ALOHA!!!!

"we dont exist until we get an invitation"

the funny meaning is, when mr. riggle gets an invitation he sends out a letter to all the high schools band instructors on the islands, telling them to recomend the people

those people go to a meeting and the band is formed
