Seasons greetings, from me and my long lost twin... Hope you're all well, and that you enjoy this gingerbread cookie recipe (sorry it's a bit late)! There's quite a lot of variety among cookie recipes - so I'll let you know right now that this one makes them soft and chewy. Cause that's my favorite.

so, i've been kind of obsessed with getting a perfect chewy (not too crisp) ginger molasses cookie. seriously, i've looked through SO many recipes. are these cookies on the chewier or the crispier side?

@TheJnamkrane Haha, I know exactly what you mean, I've been on a similar quest myself!

Within the first 24 hours or so, these cookies are quite soft and chewy (provided you don't bake them for too long, and keep them in an air-tight after they've cooled). After that, they get progressively harder/crunchier.

Is there any way to make the icing without the corn syrup? >.< My dad is a nut about corn syrup and says it's really bad for you and wont let my get any

If u stick a dried pea through the top of the cookie before baking it & leave it in til its cooled u can thread some ribbon through the hole & hang it on the tree. Luv the vids, keep it up!!!
