@TheDarkSatirist , sometimes people can be full of themselves at times and I include myself. I guess I grew out of Steve Martin since SNL & the Jerk. If a director says act this way then that is what they get paid for.

I really did not care for Martin on the Colbert report & maybe he was acting like Colbert and no one plays an egotist like Colbert.

@MrHenigans yea, he had an ego, but steve martin just plays an egoistical ass on television but he is actually a quite down to earth person if his memoir was any indication of the real steve martin.

I saw Steve Martin on Colbert Report, what an ego.

On the other hand I saw Tom Hanks on Colbert & before thought he was a bit pompous but turned it to be down to earth & funny.
