It was 33 years ago, when Pope Paul VI, passed away at the summer residence of Castel Gandolfo. It was the summer of August 6th, 1978. Before becoming pope his name was Battista Montini. He was born in a town near Brescia, Italy in 1897. After entering the seminary, he was ordained at the age of 23.

Humanae Vitae changed my life.I asked God for understanding and thanks to EWTN and the Franciscan University Presents, with Fr. This video is incorrect: Montini was made a cardinal in 1958, not 1962!

Some say he is homosexual. I hope that not true. Some even say that he is Freemason. I hope that not also true. Many popes after Vatican 2 being accused as the cause of the Church crisis due to many changes and reform in the liturgy. I wonder how would Catholic nowadays survived without Vatican 2 Council?

It is a shame he gets blamed for all the confusions & disruptions which fell on the Chuch after Vat. II. He did not call the council, nor did he give license to the excesses of those who spoke in the name of something they called "The spirit of Vatican II." Even when he spoke out against distortions of Church teaching, as w/ Humanae Vitae, he was simply ingored by the "progressives."
