This is the last broadcast that Laurel and Hardy ever made. It was shown on BBC in 1955 and is a video message to the Water Rats.

My father remembers as a little boy in in pre-partition India(1930s) that Laurel and Hardy and offcourse Charlie Chaplin were very popular. Tough the audience did not understand english they would be howling with laughter.

Stan and Ollie's final public appearance. BBC Television 1955. What a perfect "goodbye". Masters of timing right to the end.

This is gold, as L&H were seldom captured on film in the 50s.
