  • This isn't right.

  • wolf and tiger should be in a museum not someone's personal collection. Makes me sad to see them auctioned off like a pair of old sneakers.

  • @TheClassicMusicMan You said that wolfy has diappeared from the surface of the earth....since when... I remenber there was a Special Phil & Friends concert... in Colorado (few years ago, can't remenber is it in the Denver' Fillmore...or ?? But the fact is that this evening Wolfy was back in action in the hands of jimmy herrings..., Is she disappear after that ??

  • @ascheylus I can't get the concept of this? The guitars should be in the GD Museum were deadheads all over can remember and cherish the life Jerry Garcia lived. Wolf has disappeared of the face of the earth and Tiger is in the hands of the owner of the Colts, Thanks to Irwin. Irwin went through all the trouble to get the guitars that Garcia willed to him, Just so he could sell them at auction. The members of the Grateful Dead members deserve it. Irwin is a pathetic Bitch.

  • yeah.. Wolf and Tiger don't need to be stuck in a museum somewhere. .they need to be out making music for deadheads with Furthur or DSO or something.. It's tragic we've lost their beautiful sound.. and of course I live in Indy and will go see Tiger at the State Museum, you'd better believe it, but I would much rather HEAR them at a show.

  • @MrGrevy At the Indiana state Museum Jan 27 thru may 6th @ 650 W.Washington st Indianapolis

  • @deeryit Jerry would have let people play it

  • @gyselboy Which museum is it at??

  • @MrGrevy he is actually showing it in Indianapolis museum along with George Harrison's sg and Kieth Richards first silvertone guitar and one of Elvis's martin's. but yeah it's disgusting to me also that some one with very limited musical ability owns tiger and those other very Iconic instruments.Either way I will probably visit the exhibit since I live in Indy and am really looking forward to seeing tiger in person

  • Actually, Irsay's a pretty good guy. Read the article in Guitar Aficionado about him, his collection, and what he plans on doing with this guitar. It's not what you think.

  • Unfortunately, we have to thank Doug Irwin (the builder of these guitars) for this misfortune: This is the result of a legal dispute (that the other Dead members tried to fight) in Jerry's will that awarded the guitars to Irwin upon Jerry's death. Irwin was badly hurt in a car accident and could no longer work, so upon receiving the guitars, he put them up for auction. I imagine he's doing nicely now if he manages the money well.... I hope the new owners eventually donate them to a museum.

  • 850k what a joke do you know what a collection i could amass for that kinda dough.
