@Rowoches, Mount Zion is no longer a Church. After the death of King Narcisse, the church went into turmoil. There is a lot of music available with Narcisse singing as early as 1949. It should be noted that Mount Zion had a radio broadcast for many years here in the S.F. Bay Area over radio station KEST AM.

do you know offhand if there are CDs of Narcisse? i could look on amazon but im just out of hospital as i said & that's it for today!

@ittlewoman: Good Afternoon! I'm just reading your message. I hope all is well with you! As far as CDs, there's one that I know of and that's the one titled IT'S NICE TO BE NICE. You should be able to purchase it through Amazon.

ive never heard king louis before but the ensemble just wants to get my booty (& soul) going! does anyone know where his home is? i'd love to see & hear them live. absolutely incredible!

@ittlewoman: Louis Narcisse passed away in 1989. He organized the Mt. Zion Spiritual Temple Organization in the 1940's and this recording comes from teh 1950's. I believe this organization is still around today, but as far as hearing the ensemble in this recording, unfortunately, we have all missed out. They were truly great!
