Unfortunately I know a guy like that on a certain message board. One person on the board has attempted to argue with him and all that happened was that he has a massive persecution complex now....apparently people who rely on solid evidence rather than circumstantial evidence are the denialists as far as he is concerned *facepalm*.

Incidentally, the Flat Earth Society forum had a FAQ topic up a while back; there were some contrived answers to the obvious questions about stars, flights, gravity and the moon but there was also a section on questions they hadn't thought of answers to yet ("pending", it said), of which the "mast disappearing over the horizon" thing was one. When I read the forum again a few months later, that section had been removed without the questions having been answered.
Funny stuff.
