Amidst world-wide protests Israel is continuing its bombing campaign against Gaza for the third consecutive day and preparing to launch a possible ground invasion. Following on months of a crippling blockade this has been described as one of Israels bloodiest attacks on Palestinians since 1948. Latest reports indicate that 310 people have been killed and 1,400 injured in the aerial strikes across the Gaza Strip since Saturday morning. The latest targets of the airstrikes include the Hamas Interior Ministry building and the Islamic University. Israels Defense Minister Ehud Barak announced today that Israel is in a all-out war with Hamas and its proxies in Gaza. Fears of a ground invasion are growing after Israel declared a military buffer zone around Gaza, closing off the strip and its 1.5 million residents, to journalists and civilians.

We speak to Dr. Moussa El Haddad and Fida Qishta in Gaza, Dr. Mustafa Barghouti in Ramallah, Gideon Levy in Tel Aviv and Ali Abunimah in the U.S.

@thudds The definition of israel is entirely racist, it's the "jewish state", and that means that palestinians born in israel aren't really citizens, they're resident aliens, while jews anywhere in the world are automatically citizens. Where is Aza? I'll assume you've just misspelled "Gaza"... twice. Israel sends food supplies to Gaza? I don't think you know the facts, so let's be clear: Israel sends absolutely no assistance of any kind to the Gaza Strip. There was a suffocating BLOCKADE of basic medical supplies and food shipments into the Gaza Strip. Israel then broke a cease-fire, one proposed by Hamas, and sent rockets into the Strip. The Iran/Egypt weapons are far too large to be transferred through these alleged tunnels.

You're right...we should be "symmetrical and proportional", their technological disadvantage should disallow Israel from using their present armory.

There's this far no actually proof of war crimes, being that Israel continually sends food supplies into Aza.

Finally, yes. Aza'n ports are bombed and blockaded to reduce Irani/Egyptian weapons coming in. Underground tunnels are hard to eliminate, luckily they are rather inefficient.

Are they really bombing ports to "save" Israel from Hamas rocket-fire? What if Hamas bombed an Israeli military base and said, "Israel is smuggling weapons from the US?" What's the difference? The difference is that Israel wants to keep Palestinians under their boots, without resistance. War crimes have actual legal implications; it's not an empty term of endearment. War is "tough," no doubt, but there are more symmetrical and proportionate ways of waging it than Israel displayed in Gaza.

The motivations of Hitler were entirely racist - just like the motivations of Hamas and most of the anti-Israeli camp. Their idea of 'fairness' equates to 'well the Europeans have had a go at wiping out Jews, it's only fair other people should have a go, if they feel angry'. You're are correct, they TOOK THE LAND. Christians can read it in the old testament(which is part of the tanakh - jewish bible).But remember back then and until recently, when the the europeans were done killing and taking land form the native indans of North America, this was not an uncommon thing. But that the jews did it AGAIN and only 40 year ago, and are STILL doing it as we watch...wow.Maybe every conquering nation should have written a holy book explaining that GOD TOLD them to do it.
