Randomly messing around on drums.

Got some new studio lights and was up at the Rosetta practice space just jamming on drums. I had my camera (and my lighting gear) with me, so I figured I'd record some playing. Prior to this, I hadn't played drums for about three weeks, so I'm a bit rusty.

What artists and drummers inspired you to play that way?

@spasticpuma I was trained by a blues drummer, but over the years I've tried to be a sponge for whatever I think sounds cool, or looks fun to play, and I'll try to incorporate it into what I'm playing. Pretty much everything, most recently explosions in the sky, cave in, foo fighters, deftones. I also listen to some older jazz and big band stuff, as well as various classic rock stuff. I try to always take away something from the music I listen to, most of the time just subconsciously.

I can definitely see the Cave In and Deftones influences. Thanks for this video, I've always been blown away by your drumming in Rosetta.
