CityServe 2010

CityServe is a five week inner city summer camp run through the St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Paterson, NJ in conjunction with the St. Paul's Community Development Corporation and AmeriCorps. Each week the (50) participants ranging in age from 13-15 work with such organizations as the Passaic Valley Sewage Commission, Regency Gardens Senior Citizen Center, Paterson Free Public Library, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, and Paterson area child care camps doing community service projects. Participants also learn important "Tools for Success" with classes ranging from Cooking and Nutrition to Work and Life to learning how to swim. Trips to places outside of Paterson, NJ are planned throughout the program to give the teenagers the opportunity to experience activities that may not be offered to them regularly.
