Secretariat hits theaters on October 8th, 2010.

Cast: Diane Lane, John Malkovich, Dylan Walsh, James Cromwell, Kevin Connolly, Nelsan Ellis, Dylan Baker, Margo Martindale, Otto Thorwarth, Fred Thompson, AJ Michalka, Scott Glenn

Based on the remarkable true story, "Secretariat" chronicles the spectacular journey of the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father's Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery—with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)—manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time.

I saw this movie today and quite frankly while some of the facts are off in the film it a truly amazing movie. This was one of the best scenes in the movie, and the portray the spirit of what went on amazingly well. I was truly astonished. I would love to see the whole scene again not this truncated version.

wow....is this supposed to be the belmont stakes??? Disney needs to get their facts straight....secretariat was already like 8 lenghs in front of sham by the 3/4 pole. The call is even wrong. I'm looking forward to this movie...but geesh...they can't get the most pivitol part of the story correct?

Big Red was special, you wont get an actor horse that could even come close to Secretariat's pace.

Wrong track. Wrong call. Wrong facts. Good job Disney ruining Secretariat. Seabiscuit rules.

Think about it man. These are actor horses, they aren't Big Red and they never will be. No horse can do what Red did, so give the recreators some slack, huh? If they had even decided to slow Sham's actor-horse down, it would've looked unrealistic as hell. And that would've been another thing you could've complained about.

I saw Ron Turcotte at Saratoga Race Course in August, and told him what an honor it was to meet him. What a fantastic person! I've seen the movie 14 times, and counting. Fantastic!

I agree, it was a great feel good story that immortalized the greatest horse in racing. Even though it wasn't factually accurate it was inspiring and well made.
