What a moron! hahahahah that is exactly how "Stranger than Fiction" starts and the director does stay with the main character brushing his teeth. hahahahahahahahah programmers are such a scam artist. a bunch of failed filmmakers that now get to decide who can direct or not.

You want to make a movie that when done, and shown to the public, the audience then goes out and buys stuff related to the movie. Think: Star Wars, Harry Potter merchandise. This will bring the big bucks in.
