  • I want to purchase a new vga compatible nvidia card. hoping to spend around 60 to 80 bucks any idea what model I should look for?

  • with $80 in cash better start looking 4 the santa :) or the other way - take ati 4850.

  • My 9800 GT can max it at a constant 40 fps. Maybe you should try turning off AA. This game doesn't really need it, and it supposedly kills performance. Also, make sure to patch it up. I think the latest version is 1.5.0.9 or something like that.

  • To play this game at settings this high your budged needs to be far beyond 90 bucks. Maybe you can enable the smoke, but not the great looking shader effects of this game.

  • this isnt particle guys, its a filter of some sort, or maybe not, i dont know.

  • @theeeees try the Nvidia 8600gt 1GB RAM. not fast but will run stalker at very good settings.

  • Twisted Acid's system is pretty good but not the best ever, gtx290 with i7. But I'm not gunna brag, the game is what is too brag about the graphics and physics are incredible in it.

  • My system is in some aspect more brag worthy than twisted acids..... but I'm not goign to... instead I shall say.... NICE SMOKE!

  • nice, hey is there ANy way to prevent this game from crashing alot and darn lag ?=/ sony vAio can handle clear sky?

  • Thanks for the advice.

I had like 14 fps on my GTX 280 for no apparent reason, no AA was visible.

  • Want good fps in this game? Make absolutely sure that you have anti-aliasing disabled. Check also in the nvidia (or ati) control panel and make sure that you have aa on "application controlled".

Even if the AA isn't showing, if it is forced in the driver, it causes extreme lag in this game. At least that's what happened with me.

  • wow clear sky has to patrol shity places.........poor them xD

  • turn down the sun rays option, it causes MASSIVE lag in most cases usually in the morning when there most prominment.

  • The system I had before wasn't brag-worthy. It was a mid-ranged, temporary system until I could build my own. My new system is brag-worthy.
