How do you keep the 3 cylinder balanced, some contra turning axle, and why no 5 cylinder.

Continued testing of the engine has validated the designs sufficiently to move forward with the project. We will manufacture a 3,4 and 6 cylinder engine. We are currently raising capital to perform field testing of approximately 50 engines and begin limited production. If you have an interest in supporting our project, please call 252 215 1252 and ask for Mike.

Of course if the engine sustained damage you would certainly change the oil. When needed the oil strainer can be cleaned without removing the oil pan. This engine will use dynamic cylinder pressure censors to monitor the cylinder condition. Cylinder pressure represents total cylinder condition. The point is, if one cylinder is not performing within the specified range, it can be easily and quickly changed before a major failure occurs. Either way you can change the oil when ever you like.

I dont think i would WANT to rebuild any engine without draining the oil ! You should see some of it, full of bits of broken piston, and piston ring, aluminium powder, flakes of knackered shell bearing, unburnt fuel, etc etc. its just good sense and a practice borne out of years of experience.

Where are the Bucks made and how large can one get them? Also can they come turbocharged? Nice sounding engine!
-
Bucks are brand new garage built diesels that will soon become the envy of the marine diesel world, you can rebuild these without even draining the oil! I think that Buck has a VERY bright future.

Sorry then...it sounds like a 2-stroke though.
-
Oh, and this has two injectors per cylinder.
-
Two-stroke!
No, it's a 4-stroke
