Fang-Yi Sheu received her BFA from Taipei National University of the Arts. In 1995, She became the principle dancer at Martha Graham Dance Company. From 1998 to 2003, Ms. Sheu performed essential roles in many works by Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan and also danced with Monte/Brown Dance Company, Buglisi/ Foreman Dance and Shen-wei Dance Art.
Ms. Sheu was the recipient of the President's Order of Brilliant Star with Cravat in Taiwan in 2005. She founded LAFA & Artists Dance Company in May 2007

宜蘭人。國立台北藝術大學舞蹈系學士。曾任「瑪莎．葛蘭姆舞團」首席舞者，獲得舞評家及觀眾無數讚賞，媒體稱呼她為「美國現代舞之母瑪莎．葛蘭姆的傳人」。曾加入Elis­a Monte 舞團、瑪莎葛蘭姆舞團、雲門舞集等舞團，多次參與國際重要藝術節及世界巡迴。2005年獲總統頒贈「五等景星勳章」，並登上美國《舞蹈雜誌》(Dance Magazine)元月號封面，在雜誌評選的「2005年最受矚目的25位年輕舞蹈家」(25 to Watch)名單中名列第一。2007年5月創立舞團「拉芳‧LAFA」。同年獲頒「國家文藝獎」，成為舞蹈類最年輕的得主。
