SL ST - Slip Stitch
DC - Double Crochet

Materials
Size I/5.5 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle

Stitch Instructions and Definitions
How to do the stitch

Chain 8, join with the beginning chain.

Round 1: Chain 1, work 16 DC through the loop, join with the beginning stitch.
Round 2: Chain 5, *DC in the next stitch, CH 2. Continue around from *, join with the beginning stitch. (16 DC, Chain 2 total)

Round 3: CH 3, 3 DC in the CH 2 space. *DC in next stitch, 3 DC in next CH 2 space. Continue around from *, join (64 DC total)

Round 4: CH, *work 2 DC, CH 2, 2 DC in the same stitch. CH 2, skip 3 DC, HDC in the next stitch. CH 2, skip 3 DC, SC in the next stitch. CH 2, skip 3 DC, HDC in the next stitch, CH 2, Complete from * 4 times total.

Round 5: SL ST to the CH space. CH 1, *Work 3 DC in CH 2 SP, Work 1 DC in ea of the next 2 stitches, 2 DC in next CH 2 space, 1 DC in next HDC, 2 DC in next CH 2 space, 1 DC in next SC, 2 DC in next CH 2 space, 1 DC in next HDC, 2 DC in next CH 2 space, Work 1 DC in ea of the next 2 stitches, Complete 4 times total from *, join with the beginning stitch.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you for your videos...I have only been crocheting for a short while but with your video's & clear, concise explainations I am becoming a true addicit....I have just finished a circle to square & im amazed at how easy it was...One question...do you have any vidoes showing how to finish the squares of as im finding that im pulling stitches apart.

My squares always come out different sizes all the time, can I still sew them together to make a blanket?

@patricia2uable Many of my squares are up to 1/2 of an inch smaller or larger. I try to piece them together according to a similar size. You can also work an additional round of single crochet to try to get them closer in size.

I always enjoy your videos. Mostly, I wanted to thank you most kindly for indicating the crochet hook size in mm. Here in Canada, crochet hooks indicate their size in millimetres. I see you give sizes in both inches and centimetres and feel this is a sure sign that you listen to the people who give you comments. Please PLEASE keep up the great work.

I was wondering if you have something like this for a mini granny square? Like half the size 3 inch by 3 inch maby :) I have a design in mind like this one.. but not sure how to shrink it to half size w/o it looking to bunched up.. :) thankyou
