@shooter348 - her oldest (step)son was born 1969 so went to college around 1987...it would not be strange if she had had a lot less money back then, and eligible for financial aid..and she is also not a doctor, her title Dr. is because of her Ed.D. (Education doctorate) degree...she's an adjunct professor of English..and in the past was a high school English teacher..Bottom line it would not be a surprise, at all, if her family income was eligible for low-interest federal loans.

How about creating some jobs first?!?! People graduating today dont have jobs to go to. Parents of today have lost their jobs and have no way to pay for college for their kids. This MIGHT be something to celebrate if the economy were good.
