This is a good video- great camera placement!

The RS5T isn't on there anymore it got replaced with a K5LA about a year ago.
-
What happened to the industry in this area...near the fairgrounds.

gotta love those ex-seaboard geeps. especially when the RS5T is still going strong like right here. the king of all train horns.

very nice

This spur comes out onto the CSX main from Columbia to Sumter.

I went back into this area today to find out what building this was. What industry is this?

Good post. This line runs into the former Atlantic Coastline main from Columbia to Sumter. Between the Blossom Street Bridge & Gervais, this line became the Columbia, Newberry, & Laurens, a subsidiary of the ACL.

The new CSX paint scheme; a tribute to the Chesapeake & Ohio. This runs into the old Atlantic Coastline track from Columbia to Sumter. It terminated or became the Columbia, Newberry & Laurens between Gervais and Blossom Street.

Nice clip.
Enjoyed that very much. Good camera work! The horn sounds like a Leslie RS5T, same type used on many Seaboard Coast Line locomotives back in the 1970s, so the "feel" of the SCL still lives on in many small ways. BTW: Where is this at?

Hey, Tony;
This is off of Bluff Road in Columbia, SC near Williams-Brice Stadium. I believe CSX calls this the Columbia Industrial Track.

Good first video Joe. Always wanted to see Y120 working the Industry Spur come out of that plant.

Hey, Reggie;
Thanks for the comment. I love trains coming out of biuldings AND crossing diamonds. This is a neat little section of traks. Used to be much neater, I bet, in Seaboard days.

Heck, that's pretty good. Don't worry about the shacking tripod. Hardly noticable. What's that building the CSX train is coming out of? Remindes me of Doc's Transfer in Birmingham where the BNSF runs through the middle of the facility.

Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure the name of the building. I never put two and two together about where the steel coil cars went on that line until I saw a photo of this place on-line. A few days later, I literally just happened to catch this train while in the area.
