On behalf of the Republican Party, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc) provided a rebuttal to President Obama's 2011 State of the Union address. Ryan criticized Obama's economic policies.

@poindexterwitkowsky We give the top 1% tax cuts cause they already pay 40% of the taxes! The reason the middle class is depleting is because we have no jobs here. You want to know why that is? Because we have the highest corporate tax rate in the world! Taxing the rich at even a heavy rate will not do anything for our deficit, cutting Social Security and the Military will. @DillonDee1 Actually, that is from my own research and your wrong, Yes they made $14 Billion and there net total is a 0% Tax Rate, but that is because the government gives them enough subsidies so they can make their money back because most of there operations are there to make our government run...and you can't use One example their...maybe you should do your own research instead of spewing Chris Matthews or someother MSNBC Host...I can site my sources, can you??

Also as of 2008 Germany's Corporate tax rate is 15% plus trade tax of 7% giving us roughly 26% Could you tell me why Germany is the strongest in the European Union?? It isn't because of their taxes, if it were Italy, Spain, Portugal would be right there with the economic super powers. Your Progressive tax rate there is on individuals, not corporations....

We have ppl making billions & paying a 15% tax rate -- THAT COULD NEVER HAPPEN IN GERMANY!
