i'm also a little confuse. everybody is saying how the little kid is coping with his mom being in an abusive relationship. but i was sorta thinking that they had set that up so he'll project the best emotion

my enterpritation of the film is one in which the camera crew which are seen to be following round the son and the mums bf are in the sons head. he is dealing with the obv abusive realtionship which his mum is in and isprojecting the camera crew in order to deal with it... make it less real.. as we see his mum is being raped at the end and all of a sudden the crew comes from no where to focus on his emotion.. fanstic short

This was incredible, probably one of the most amazing short films i have ever seen. It's kind of like the book Time Machine where he leaves you to make up the rest of the story.
