Al Doyle from Hot Chip has recorded a new video starring hidden homeless people. As part of their involvement in the Crisis Hidden Gigs campaign Al recently took time out from recording their new album to direct a unique version of their infamous Over and Over song. The video was recorded at the Crisis headquarters in central London with members of the Skylight program. The stars of the video have all experienced homelessness and received support from Crisis.
Hot Chip will launch the Crisis Hidden Gigs campaign with an exclusive DJ set on Tuesday 5th May in central London. Expect to hear new sounds from the band who are currently working on their forthcoming album in the studio. They will be supported by the edgy London-based band Man Like Me and DJ and producer Erol Alkan. The twist is the venue will remain a secret until 24-hours before the gig to highlight the instability of the homeless who often don't know where they will be spending the night.
