My God... I remember hearing this for the first time when I was eight.... You would get nothing but the feeling of emptiness.... This void. And whats amazing is that it syncs perfectly with the dimly lit background with metroid's cry. Everything about this game was meticulously crafted in order to trigger the player's emotional response to everything including dying. Its not depressing, its just empty and they nailed that feeling. At least with me/
