Popping noise after 4 years of use. [see more]
The loud popping is there even if turning the volume all the way down or unplug the music source.
Most forumers says it is caused by the volume pots, but i think is from the power amp spike such eddy current or maybe from faulty caps?? or maybe popcorn noise from the p/n-channel device??
These spikes caused loud popping sound and i say could harm the speakers..

  • What happened to this amp? I think that an intermittent solder/contact point can also cause this kind of noise, but it is interesting to hear if changing any silicon related parts fixed the problem. Popcorn noise was earlier a big problem with amp design, and I would like to use your sound as a teaser in a presentation on popcorn noise that I am planning for my colleagues.
